motors not stock. look at my numbers in my sig. you should be find. i thought the tranny would be fine. the guy i bought it from was running dipping into the 11's on it before he upgraded to one of tremec's really stout transmissions

If you don't have one already, get a short shifter with stop bolts so you can slam the gears.
not sure what stop bolts are but i do have a pro 5.0

Been on the same road as you. Racing at the strip last year, i was out to set me a new record, i was running some 10.5 Micky's outback and i launched it in 1st @ 3,000, caught traction and when i hit second, it blew it out, i just heard a loud *** 'clunk' and then it just grinded the hell out of it. By the way, i was 120miles from home, so i had to drive all the way back home on that tranny. [:@]

Intersting experience though, that day i ran a 12.2 on the first run, the second run is when i blew 2nd out. [:-]

nice^^

atleast you got a run in, i did it on my first run(my gf said i ran an 18.xx, but i sure as hell wasn't gonna stop and get the slip after killing my tranny and coasting like half the track. guess my tires heated up from all the spin in first and second. didn't really get a bun out in the box because i suck. haha, found out burnouts aren't as easy on drag radials. i think after i replace the transmission im gonna get a linelock.
