Default thought it was a ignition problem

my car has been hesitating very badly almost violently sometimes only happens when it gets hot though
i changed the ignition coil, plugs, plug wires, the rotor inside the dist., also threw on a new fuel filter, only for that do to absolutely nothing.....
the problem is still there only it worse i does it more often now to the point if i sit there and hold the throttle at 2k or so every 2 seconds the tach jumps dont have a clue what it could be maybe a worn timing chain? change the whole dist., fuel injectors, fuel pump?

any help would be appreciated by me and my wallet hehe ....
this is my first fox and since i bought it ive yet to enjoy it .....

Get the codes pulled. Also check the fuel pressure.
