This stuff would be just fine for you, it's what I have, anyway:

Timing light

Compression tester

Volt/Tach/Dwell meter

1/4 metric and sea socket in shallow and deep
3/8 metric and sea socket in shallow and deep
1/2 metric and sea socket in shallow and deep
good screw driver set
a pliers set
oilfilter wrench
test light
tap and die set
drill bits and drill
a good floor jack and stands
fender covers
multi meter,
timing light
ballpeen hamer set
punch and chisle set
hack saw
prybar set

You dont need snapon either sears sell some good starter sets like this and they come with a toolbox also. The only reason I use snapon is te convinence for them coming to me plus I like their tool boxes

I will start shopping now. I should have bought advance auto stock when I got the car.

I am going to keep an eye on this thread to see if anybody else has any thoughts.......

I,m haing such a good time with all this car stuff, I mIGHT just buy a second 5.0 with high miles and doesn't run and fix it up and keep the vert a pristine original?? Hmmmmm.. now how do I convince the wife????? (my 10year old is going to need a car in 7 years)

except I just bought the VERT
and really dosen't need anything

Do one thing a month to it . headers on month pulleys the next take your time . thats t most fun part about owning a stang beside know chicks dig fast cars
