which cars had 5.0's and 5.0ho's

it's like the difference between.... 32A and 36C, you'll be able to tell which is which. i believe the HO was post 84 mustangs, the 5.0 is in pre 84 stangs, late 80's early 90's crown vics, 90's explorers, amongst other vehicles.... not sure exact numbers

if it dosnt say HO.. its not an HO

all HO 5.0's got an HO intake plaque and if its carbed, it said it on the air filter lid

yes but some idiots put the ho plaque on thier non HO's and try to sell them as HO's ..... bastards[:@]

ALSO non H.O 5.0's had a 86 style intake, with the horizontale callout on it.

You're kidding, right? Try again aha.. roughly 80hp. 5.0's only made 145, H.O. got 225


And that's why you always remove the intake plaque. I did that when before I bought mine, told the guy I just wanted to be sure and he had no problem, it has H.O. stamped right on the intake underneath the plaque

on all non h.o 5.0s the throttle body was on the drivers side while the h.o. its on the pass side
