you could also look into Hoosier drag radials they seem to hold up well. i did a 6500rpm launch in my buddys SS and they took all of it.

as for breaking dont worry about that till it happens. if you want hte best times out of your car dont baby it. if you dont ever want to break then baby it but you will never get the most out of the car

i totally agree....if it breaks it breaks...mine didn't,but i did bend the d/s...
I fully expect my axles to break before too long. Then it'll be time for an Auburn and 31 Stanges. I say if you're worried about breaking it, you should drive a Civic. [8D]

Stock axles snap when launching. Get some Mosers and beef the tranny up, then you should be good to launch on.
