you could also look into Hoosier drag radials they seem to hold up well. i did a 6500rpm launch in my buddys SS and they took all of it.
as for breaking dont worry about that till it happens. if you want hte best times out of your car dont baby it. if you dont ever want to break then baby it but you will never get the most out of the car

this is what i was talking about before....if you have a working suspension something will break!...now if he's on a stock suspension he's going to have wheel spin or wheel hop<now that won't be good either...you prob get away with it,but you are play'n russian roulette

We think alike.
Stock axles snap when launching. Get some Mosers and beef the tranny up, then you should be good to launch on.
