im 16 and bought my mustang a little while ago also. I'd say the next mod you do should be 3.73 gears. also maybe a cold air intake. I would put some mods on my car but i am totally broke. btw welcome to the forums

First decide on whether you want to stay with the 302 or get a different size engine. I would get a different block if your going to do alot of modding. If you choose to say with that block a stroker kit, heads, cam, intake manifold, under drive pulleys may be good things to start with depending on your budget. If you don't have a lot of money you could get the GT40P intake manifold off of a Ford Explorer. I wouldn't go with the cold air intake untill you get some phenolic spacers, otherwise the heat from the intake manifold & throttle body will heat up the air before it gets to the heads.

Dont scare the guy Isaac!
Start off slow and get the basics.Right now you probably dont know if you have a gear in it right?
Red is right, you have to know your budget. And which way do you want to go with the car?
Deciding now will save you money in the long haul.

All depends on your budget. My first setup was a budget setup, it was ported and polished heads, upper and lower intake, gear (only 3.55 i know thats not enough gear) throttle body and full exhaust. that was enough to run a 13.90 which was plenty fast for me at the time. Best of luck with the car and take your time and decide where you want to go with the car. best of luck

the most noticable mod is a set of gears. 3.73's kick a$$!! fairly inexpensive as well. the next thing you should do is get a cold air intake and a 75mm MAF/70mm TB and spacer. a set of underdrive pullies would also be a nice addition. The best thing i would say to do is save up for a set of aluminum heads (AFR 165's are the best for 50 state legals) as this will allow you to feel any other additional mods you do tons more. If i could go back and do it all over again, the heads deff would be one of the first mods i did. then cam, intake etc.

A set of gears is a must. Go with the 3.73's
Then get some stickier tires.
That will make your stock car feel real fast.
Making a lot of power does'nt get it to the ground(Traction).
Then i would work on getting some upper and lower control arms.
By the way,,,is your frame tied?

Your best bet is to remove restrictions first before you start building. You already have the exhaust taken care of. If I were you next I would go with UDP's & mabey an electric fan, but I havn't had much luck with an electric fan cooling the previous mustang dual fans may work. Then start with the intake setup of the car (intake manifold, throttle body, spacers, CAI). After that start working on the actual engine block parts (heads, cam, ect...)
