can’t pass 4k rpm in 3rd

Default can’t pass 4k rpm in 3rd


<FONT size=2>I have 94' Mustang GT 5.0L 5 speed,
the problem is when i accelerate in 3rd gear the rpm stops at 4,000rpm, but when i shift to 4th gear rpm can go up to 6,000 rpm?

this problem started last week, the car used to go up to 6,000 rpm in 3rd gear, but not any more.

now the car can reach 6,000 rpm in all gears exept the 3rd.

do you know waht might be the problem.?

ps: my car is totally stock.</FONT></P>

Could be air sensor. that happened in ny friends probe when he tried to jimmy rig a CAI.
