Default advanced electrical guys

I had THR install some parts from me and i am now noticing ALOT of things they did halfassed.

Those of you that have been trying to help me with my charging issue and i never could figure out why my alt was putting out 14 volts (130 amp alt) at idle, and yet my battery (optima redtop) was not holding a charge. I had the battery charged and tested and come to find out the batter was good. So why isnt it holding a charge. Well today i was hookingup my battey cables up in the front (yes i am moving he battery back in its stock location) and i noticed that the ground wires that are attached to the drivers side head arent connected they are just kinda floating back there. Do you think that would cause this crazy issue.

THR was supposed to put a timing cover on my car about 2 weeks ago and i whenever i got it home i noticed it leaking. Well come to find out they never put a water pump gasket on there, they never put the front four bolts that bolt the timing cover to the oil pan back on, bolts and nuts were left out of my ac bracket, my starter cable was just kinda dangling. I called em and i was furious needless to say they fixed it the next day, but still it was the issue of having to have it towed up there and what not its things like this that make me wish the car was stock. I never ever had problems until i let someone else work on it. Now i have shorts, and charging issues and leaking timing covers. Sorry i just had to vent.

Hopefully someone can answer my question about those two wires in the back the tan one and the braided line that go to the drivers side head in the back.

i didnt run new grounds no, but i had originally moved the battery to the truck about 3 years ago whenever i had first got my mustang I was pretty car ignorant back then. I just moved the battery to the truck and grounded the battery on the hatch striker. Now i am moving everything to the front again and cleaning everything up.i wanted to ground the battery to the back of the head where the other wires are and thats whenever i noticed that the ground wires arent even connected to the head.

Well why ask? Why not just ground them and see if that fixes it? aha they have to be grounded anyway
