I'm thinking of installing a set of underdrive pullies on my 85 GT. Are they everything they are advertised? And if I am using a high capacity water pump, will I be defeating its purpose by slowing it down? Any opinion would be appreciated.

well the pump will be slower but that just means you wont have to worry about overheating cause even with it slowed down, youll still pump as much if not more then the stock pump did with normal pulleys. they do add power but i dont know if its noticable. i did my pulleys at the same time i put on my new intake manifold and 70mm tb + egr. so i cant realy tell you what the difference is

i talked to a guy who put them on and he said they didnt do much, but the set of gears did!!!!!! ya the alt wont charge near as good, i dont have them im jst tellin u whative heard
