RE: Cleaning up Engine capartment....
I have done most of this on my car.. I have the pass side completely wireless now. The driver side is mroe complicated, but can be done... I will get you some pics this weekedn of what I'm about to talk about..
Basically, inside your wheel well, you will see your strut going up, all the way through the top of the strut tower. The empty space on the side of the strut nearest the middle of the engine bay is all your to run wires through. Basically, all it comes down to is drilling small holes, or using the existing ones that are there (some are pretty big), and feeding the wires through. If you really want them all hidden, you'll have to cut your wires, then splice them back together as the connectors won't fit through the hole. In this scenario, the alternative is to widen the whole to fit the connector through, but then you can risk structural rigidity and give rust a place to start from.... Another trick you can use for a few of the wires is the empty space by your windshield wiper fluid reservoir... There is plenty of space to run wires here, as well as your hood release cable.
