So that's what that sound is! Does it mean there's something wrong with the fuel pump, or is that just a normal sound? Actually, I kind of like the sound.

No, every single electric fuel pump makes that sound, just turn the key on in a car, don't start it, and you'll hear the fuel pump kick in for a second or two. 'tis normal. If you ever saw the video of my first start-up of my Mustang, I had to jump the fuel pump through some of the wiring for the hatch cause my relay was shot, could really hear it then as I was right on top of it with no interior in the car to dampen the sound
