First step in restoring my 89 GT
I 've neglected my GT for about 5 years now. Today I took the first step in changing that.
I gave it a good wash and started it up for the first time in about 6 months after replacing the battery. The A/C which was working perfectly fine before the down time, is no longer working. The rear end is wobbling like you wouldn't believe not to mention the 3-4 oil leaks I've found including a major leak in the rear main seal. Everything is stock except for the updated wheels. I'm also looking restoring the exterior and eventually getting a new paint job. I believe the engine is in good condition with a little over 115,000 miles. I really don't know much about cars (engine, electrical, etc.). How should I go about the process of restoring it back to its original condition? I think the problems I've mention thus far are priorities. Comments and suggestion are appreciated. Thanks.

Well, first fix the problems you stated. Then id do a complete tune up of the car....change the oil....rear end fluid, all the filters, everything. Then start on all the weather stripping...i mean lets face it...on a 18-20yr old car...the weather seals are starting to crack/crumble and its time for new stuff...50resto can hook you up in that department.
Good luck btw..
