Default harmonic balancer

As far as I can tell its awfully loose, it sways about 1/4 inch and vibrates the entire car so badly that the plastic in front of the front bumper shakes violently enough to hear a serious rattle. Its parked at a freinds house right now, when we found out what it was we didnt want to drive it further. The question is what do I have to do to fix this, can i just tighten a bolt on or around the crank pully or do I have to buy a new harmonic balancer? Any and all help is wanted.

I would start with tightening the bolt on the crankshaft. That is the cheapest thing to start with, if that doesnt work then you may be looking at getting a new one

Is the balancer actually loose or did the rubber between the inner hub and outer ring pop out causing the outer ring to be crooked?
If the balancer came loose and is wobbling I would think it would throw the serpentine belt.
If it's a stock balancer and the rubber has slipped out, I would replace the balancer.

not sure... ill look at it and check back.

I just looked at prices and they had some frpp for $90 then they had a bunch between $250 and $375, the only differences I could see form the part description was whether it was internal or external. What are the the differences in them?
