Ohh I thought any tires it would be beneficial, my bad
I have Nankang NS-IIs, so even if I run 25 psi in the rear it would be just like running 32 psi--no difference?

I dno, but somehow I'd rather do something freer and simpler, like letting out some air
But if its not gonna help at all I might as well forget it---will it help at all?

Dropping pressure in street tires will do nothing
As impressed as I have been with your knowlege, I have to disagree... when you air down any tire it will widen the contact patch of the tire, so in a way make the tire itself wider, more contact area means more traction. I took off .4 of a second going from 32psi to 15psi the same day, back to back runs.

Hey guys, normally I run 32 PSI all around, but I was wondering what is the best PSI to run in the rear wheels before a race...
Maybe like 28? Not sure, what do you guys do?
on stock radials it makes no diff. on drag radial i got 20/ 22 for my dot slicks i run 14 psi

a street tire is a harder compound rubber/yes contact patch can be manipulated, but for refference sake...any geared/high hp. car will blister stock tires. what you did was make a flat tire with weak sidewalls rotate slower<decrease wheel spin, and made your car dangerous.
