Switching to carb

Switching to carb
My first question is what is it going to take? I know I need the intake/carb and a new fuel pressure regulator. Is there anything else? I am converting the 88.
Second question
What intake/carb combo should I go with?
current mods:
victor jr heads (iron)
1.6 roller rockers
10:1 flat top pistons
bored 30 over
and the cam located here http://www.compcams.com/Technical/Se...umber=35-518-8
I was thinking a victor jr intake and a 650 double pump carb. I would like to have some streetability but its not a DD.
Before anyone says that I should stay with FI, I have tried and I am over it

RE: Switching to carb
Are you running 351W or a 5.0?
I would run 1/2 aluminum line from the tank all the to the front.
Holley blue pump is good as is the regulator.
I would get a sump for the stock tank. I know they are sold but I can't remember who sells them.....
Maybe try Holcomb Motorsport of Lumberton, N.C.
I would also install a GOOD filter between the Holley pump and the tank....

RE: Switching to carb
Or you could buy a tank from an '85 or earlier, theyre probably cheaper than a fuel cell, most aftermarket radiator shops usually have a line on cheap tanks and it would be a direct bolt in. The 85's had mechanical fuel pumps mounted to the block.
Slap on a victor jr. intake, and Im thinkin that a 650 might not be enough, I think a 750 vacuum secondary carb would be more along the lines of what you need. And because its vacuum secondary it wont drown the motor.

RE: Switching to carb
Didnt think about the 85 and earlier tanks. I married into a family that has a salvage yard, so that wont be a problem to get As long as I can find one that looks clean. If I get the tank and run the lines, would I have to get a fuel pressure regulator still?

RE: Switching to carb
I just put a granetelli pickup in my tank that is ment to be used with external pickups. It has 5/8 in diameter pickup line so it should be able to handle a good amount of fuel.
