Take it first hand from me, don't go less than 3000. I've got a custom 3000 rpm torque converter from edge converters, it's great. You won't get 3000 rpms of footbrake stall but your flash stall will be around 3500 (where mine is) and it is awesome. I can't wait to try out a pair of slicks, I've got horrible traction problems, I bet that it'll feel alot faster with a pair of slicks.

In normal driving how does a stall converter work? Are you able to take off from a stop just like normal or do you have to floor the car to take off?
Thats one thing Ive always wondered about stall converters. Eventually I want to get one for my car.
