Please help.
91 gt basic mods. I hear a ratteling noise only at full throttle. noise is only one speed , and goes away when i let up on the throttle just a little. It starts in first gear stops during the shift but continues as soon as it is in the next gear. not the tranny. Rebuilt aod with shiftkit larger servos and other stuff i have no idea what they do. Please help

does it only do it at higher RPM and sound like two nuts rattling around in a can if so then its the same problem I was having its called spark knock which I was told is caused by the timing being off

Sounds like pre-ignition or pinging to me. Check your timing and drop it back down 1 degree at a time until the noise goes away under full throttle acceleration or you will eventually do damage to your engine.

Spark knock sounds like two nuts rattling around in a can to you? Mine sounds like "Wchhhhhhhhhhhhhh" @ high rpms when the timing is up too high. But, I would have to guess the timing too.

well if it sounds like two nuts in a can or whrrrrrrr to you guys. I t sounds like death to me. And we all never want to hear that noise. Thanks for all your guys help. I will bump th timing down a bit today and let you guys know. Thanks again

Also dont forget to make sure the screen isnt loose in there if you haent removed it already..Just and idea kinda far fetched but never know.
