hey i took my stang(listed below) to the track today, it was the 1st time ever, its kinda i big deal cause im only 15. it scared the crap out of me while i was sitting in the staging lanes, i was shaking! my 1st pass wasnt good, spun the tires, panacked and let of towards the end( if i stayed in it i could have beaten a 440 coronet!!!!!!!) the second pass went great!!!!! stayed in it the whole way, ran a 15.02 @ 92.04mph!!!!!! i was only runnin octane 89 so i couldnt really play around with timing, i smoked a highly modified cavilier!!!!! i am so excited i had to tell u guys, i will def be heading back to the track very soon!!!!!: )

I see you're hooked now!
First pass I ever made with my '88 back in '94 was a 15.45 with an AOD tranny, so you're doing pretty good to run low 15's.
Keep your racing on the strip and not the street and you will have a good safe time and not go to jail for street racing!

Hell I was 45 years old before I made my first run down a strip and even though I knew exactly what to do, I was really scared about doing something stupid and embarrassing myself! Fortunately, I managed to make a clean straight run of 15.45 secs on the old Goodyear unidirectional Gatorbacks which were the stock tire on my old '88 GT. Since then, I've been racing on a regular basis for the last 10 years and only wish I had gotten started when I was much much younger! Who knows, maybe I coulda been another John Force or Bob Glidden! LOL
