Default 11.50s for $1500 or less... including the car.

I'm trying to run 11.50s for under $1500 including the price of the car (with nitrous). Actually, I'm shooting for $1k, but I'm giving myself a margin for error. I would be VERY confident about doing this if I could find a set of Thumpers. So do any of you have or know of anyone that has a set of Thumper heads they'd be willing to sell?
I'd like to attempt this with a set of Thumper heads to give me just a little edge. If anyone wants to upgrade from their Thumpers, now is the time (so I can buy your heads).

And what does everyone this of my little project?

My opinion... On the other hand, I've heard of competitions for stuff like this, is that what you're doing? IMHO any car worth ~$700 even completely gutted isn't gonna last long with the amount of N2O you're gonna need for those times...

How are you getting the car so cheap? Any particular reason you're going with thumper heads? Why not find some gt40p's at a local junkyard?

I just picked up the car tonight. It is an '87 GT that is stock except for a MAF conversion, O/R H-pipe and mufflers. The car is missing the T5. The bellhousing, clutch and pressure plate is there. The car will start, it just won't move. It's straight but it's primered (two tone primer = super gay). It has gray interior that isn't that nice, but I've seen worse. It has 3.27s in the rearend too. I got this car cheap because it has no title. I'm going to have to file for a lost title on it. It's not stolen though because I've already ran the VIN. I paid $300 for this car. I have someone wanting to buy the complete air conditioning system off of it for $150. He's coming to get it on Saturday. So I'll have $150 in the car.

I have a close personal friend and his coupe is already ran 12.80s N/A and has a kit on it (but no times yet). He has right at $1000 in everything from the car to the nitrous to the Mickey Thompson tires it races on. This was a EXTREME budget build and every expense was kept track of. It has many free parts on it and 99.9% on the parts are used.

So I'm fairly confident I can pull this off, but I am going to use a few minor things that I already have laying around the shop but nothing of importance.

Anyway, I'm just wanting to use Thumper heads because I've used them in the past with great success. But a new set of Thumpers would kill my budget.
