o-ringed heads
i have been looking at TFS twisted wedge heads and i saw that they come o-ringed and non o-ringed. what are the advantages and disadvantages of o-ringed heads? i was also wondering if for any reason one or the other would be easier to install or have better performance. thanks.

RE: o-ringed heads
O-rings are mainly for boosted/nitrous applications. Keeps head gaskets from blowing all the time. Not needed for a N/A application. AS long as your not cramming tons of nitrous or boost into your engine, they're not needed. And im pretty sure the block needs machined to fit them also.

No machining to the block is necessary. The down side head gaskets cost more, up side - no blown headgaskets. Liek stangaruu said theyre mainly for boosted cars, but I recommend them on really high compression motors also. If you run 12:1 + youll definitly want em.
