Electric fans...
So now I'm thinking since I can't afford to replace my motor mounts right now an electric fan will be the best way to go to avoid my mechanical fan hitting the shroud when I torque the motor....
So...I have next to nothing as far as money. What are my cheapest options? By next to nothing I mean like $40...Thanks

RE: Electric fans...
Go to the junkyard and get a taurus fan and wire it up to a switch inside the car that you can turn on when it starts getting hot. Then when more money comes buy the painless wirring kit that has a temp sensor and relay and all that. I just got a tarus fan today for 25 bucks.

Okay...what year taurus am I looking for?
TrplWht - I'm just going to wire it up to a switch to flip on and off for now. Do the taurus fans bolt right up?

save the money for motor mounts, replace whats needed instead of making it faster

When you replace the motor mounts you will feel a bigger difference then taking the fan clutch off. I have my fans wired through switchs , tried the relay setup was a pain and used a cheap thermostat that would kick the fan on to late.

Im pretty sure that the stock fan will bolt right up bro, i can help you if you want. I did the same thing in my escort, wired it straight up to a switch in my dash. just make sure that your coolant gague works so that you dont "forget" to turn it on, lol.

I just installed a Lincoln Mark VIII fan in mine.
fit like a glove and works like a charm, cost $50 with 30 day warranty from junkyard.
hooked it up with a 30amp relay from radio shack and it just comes on with key.
