Default 5.0L engine numbers

I hope I don't sound like a dumbass but I have an 86 GT and I don't know too much of anything about the car (the guy I bought it from knew nothing about it) - as far as whats been done to it Mod wise. So here's my question - is the any numbers on the engine block that would tell me the year of my engine? As I said my car is an 86 GT (ya know, the problem child LOL) I can tell by the oil pressure that it has a high volume oil pump, some other things indicate that the engine has been out of the car, and it does have a little bit of cammed up sound to it,and has bigger injectors - hence the confusion - why would anyone go thru the trouble of replacing or having the pistons fly cut on an 86 engine???? I'm wondering if I infact still have an 86 engine in my car? any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a model number ingraved on the block with all that info, but it's exact location is something I don't know. Car may of had internal work done to it in the past.

with the bigger injectors and stuff, your engine could of been supercharged or something. it could be a motor waiting to blow from all the other stuff, but it could be forged internals. you don't know till you open her up. its a present waiting to be open, either bad or good lol. good luck on finding everything out!
