I hate when people say that the ls1 camaro is a 12 second car. Its not! Mabye with slicks it could do 12s. I have seen a few and read about alot of Ls1s run before and I usually see them running mid 13s. And all this about all motor this blown motor that. I'm so sick of hearing people talk s**tt about that. Who cares ford decided to supercharge the cobra big deal. Its not like ford has never done a high performance 380 + all motor before. The Ls1 should not be compaird to the cobra but how about try the mach1.

I agree with T5. Drive what you like. I'm a Chevy guy (though I dig all cars, well maybe not Corvettes, um make that the a$$@#%s who drive them) but I'd take a 5.0 over a Camaro any day. Its just a great car. Does that mean we should all drive em? Nah, variety (and a little bench racing) makes life interesting.

i agree with rockcrusher here...who cares which car is "best"...it all comes down to different strokes for different folks...and if everyone got the "best" car, life would suck. and besides all that...to me, it doesn't matter what it has factory...it's all about the decisions made when upgrading it. personally, i've grown up around chevy's, i love em...but the 5.0 was more in my price range and much easier for me to work on than the newer maro's (where there is little to NO room under the hood). but either way, both cars are awesome from the factory...so leave it alone.</P>

but camaros rattle from the factory. i have no problem with them except quality...and that ignition is junk on lt-1's [edit] and will cost about 600 to fix i hear<edited><editID>Jugador</editID><editDate>37956.9537037037</editDate></edited>

Lol, jug you can't tell me that you're arguing based on noises form the factory!!? That is commonplace on most cars, preliminary rattles are something you deal with. In terms of engine and power and stuff, yeah the cameros are a little stronger, and like everyone has pointed out, more $s. True, your perception dictates which car you like, and thats great. I wonder, is rockcrusher's name derived from the ledgendary "Rock Crusher"transmission; the one that will take any abuse whatsoever; and the one that sits in my GTO at home? One of the toughest trannys made. I love stangs, and there are some cameros that are pretty tight, so now that everyone has reiterated the point ten times, I think we're finished.

no man...like falling apart rattles...my brother test drove one. he also knew a dude with a moderately new ss and it rattled too. now if their top of the line big daddy SS rattles do you think lesser models are any better?

some cars are just junk from the factory...dont rule out the whole entire fleet cause of one ride. doesnt matter if its a ford,chevy or mopar or etc. they all have imperfections.

well that's the thing, i see TONSA bad stuff about em online. go to msn autos and go to reliability and are not exactly rated great, not to mention countless testimonials of previous owners who had problems.
