Default Flywheel

I'm going to be replacing my clutch with a King Cobra when I do all of my stuff this fall/winter, and was thinking...while I have everything off I'm going to have access to the flywheel. Is there any worthwhile benefit to buying an aluminum replacement? Better question, is it worth the money on a mildly built engine?

yes it is absolutely worth it to buy an aluminum. because u have to take off the flywheel anyway to have it resurfaced if u plan on re-using the stock one. u cant just put a brand new clutch on an old flywheel, so resurfacing it is a cheap alternative to buying a new one, so if u have the funds most defintely go with a fidanza aluminum flywheel.

Dont waste money with an aluminum flywheel. Your going to loose torque, yes your engine may spin up faster, but the loss of torque isnt worth it. Especially with a smaller displacement V8 like a 302.

As far as the King Cobra...i launch like f*ck on mine and it never slips. Had it in for over a year now and abused the absoblute **** out of it, never any problems.

The Centerforce Clutches are the sorriest pieces of sh*t ive ever came across. I had 3 of them and every single one went out within 3000 miles of me putting one in.

But yes, the King Cobra has outlasted 3 trannies, so its cool.

I run A spec clutch and aluminum Flywheel and I love them. I didnt notice any toqure loss when we put it in. Granted we swaped the shorty headers for some L/Ts. I really like the flywheel becuse the car loves to take off. (works really good when you get pissed at stupid people on the road and you have a nice long striaght stretch ahead.)
