RE: 4.10's
8.8 with 410s will make a huge diffence.. make sure ya stall converter is matched to ya cam..go out and get a 3000 stall when ya cam makes power from 1200-5200 is wasting part of ya power rpm band.. if ya have a cam with 2-6000 rpm then a 2400-3000 stall would be good..dependin on who makes it..b&m suks, tci is ok..i have a edge racing

RE: 4.10's
The problem with 4.10's and an AOD (assuming thats what you have) is that they aren't made for each other. The AOD transmission was only designed to run matched to 3.55's or less. With a stock motor in my car, I ran out of gear at the end of the 1/4 mile. Nice hole shot, but not much else. Plus, running at 2400 rpms at 60 mph isn't always the most economical (not like foxbodys are anyways). But, like hellas85stang said, if you match the torque converter and cam, you might be okay. Also, if its moreless a drag car, you don't have a lot to worry about. Just my $.02

RE: 4.10's
im happy with my 8.8" street car with 4.10s
awesome driving. Great acceleration and still decent gas mileage for a modded v8 sports car. Not a huge difference from 3.73 on the gas mileage. Steady highway driving is steady highway driving... the small rpm difference isnt a huge difference
