I am looking to buy a93 Mustang LX 5.0 coupe. Completely stock, in perfect condition, with 44k miles on it (how only that much over these years i don't know<IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0">). He is asking 7,500.. is that a good price? A few other questions for anyone that knows.. How many mpg will this car get and if this is going to be my main transportation (driven alot) how long till the engin will need to be rebuilt. Or if this is even a good car to get! </P>

if u want to find the bluebook value go to www.kbb.com and imput all the options and it will give u a good idea on how much its worth. since its completly stock u shouldnt have to add a feww hundres because of the mods on it. i would ask $6000 cash from him and see what he says. $7500 is alil much for that. the motor wont have 2 be rebuilt b/c of only 44k. i would go with heads, cam, roller rockers, intake, maf sensor, injectors, throttle body, and a bigger fuel pump with a good set of gears. prolly 3.55 or 3.73.

notchbacks are becoming more rare these days. the milage says its worth it. If its a clean car go for it. If you only do mild mods the moter can see up to 200k, if your modding it up and beatin the snot out of it 120-150k for a new moter.

Check all of the pricing guides.
www.kbb.com Kelley Blue Book
www.nadaguides.com Nada (what a lot of banks/finance departments use)
www.edmunds.com Make sure you do the little price quote thing that asks for color and zip code and stuff. Then you can print out the cheapest one and go lowball the guy, but be ready for him to have the highest one handy and plan on meeting in the middle somewhere unless he's motivated to sell (new baby, kid turning 16, moving, divorce, etc., in which case you'll be able to get a deal) or not motivated at all when you might have to pay top dollar.

damn i have a 93 with 100000. that is really low milage. i would def ask for around 5500 cause you are going to have to put a muffler system on it and other mods. Remember if anyone is selling a car you always ask more so you can settle in the middle somewhere. so i bet he will def take less...</P>
