Default Fire Extinguishers

Hi Guys,

I have a modified 90 vert with two amps and a few guages. I sometimes worry about electrical fires (and fuel fires). I have been doing some research on fire extinguishers for in car use (use Hal-Gard an others). You guys have any opinions. I would like one that is for both electrical and fuel.

Thanks

Oh Hell No.

Was thinking on the passenger side mounted to the side of the console. And sorry for being ignorant, but is ABC the brand name or just the kind of extinguisher. I am looking at some crazy ones on Summit for like 100 bucks, are they worth it? Or are the ABC's just as good?

The ABC extinguisher is just what kind of fire to put out- (class A, B, and C). If it was me, I'd go for a cheap ABC extinguisher. For how often you'd use it (hopefully never) chances are it would/should be recharged before it would ever be needed. IF you really wanted, go to somewhere like Wal-Mart and pick an automotive grade extinguisher for 25 bucks. Its just a little insurance against simple fires. If its bad enough of a fire that you can't get it put out with a little extinguisher, I'd me more worried about getting the heck away from the car, before it blows up!!!! Plus, a little extinguisher wont add that much weight
