Serious Mod (s) question.
So I bought a Cobra intake and it's been sitting. I want to do H/C/I and rockers. Should I keep the Cobra intake and get some AFR 165's and get the Cobra port matched then piece together cam, rockers, etc? Or should I just sell the intake and get the trickflow top (street) end kit? I want a relieble street A/C car that can be a DD although it won't be a DD. Then if I het the Top end kit should I do anything to the block or just bolt it all on and go? Or should I just put the Cobra intake on, and get a cam and rockers and wait to do the heads?
Thanks in advance for any and all ideas.
Evan.

RE: Serious Mod (s) question.
I'd personally go with the trickflow top end kit. Its supposed to be 350 HP, so the your block will be fine. AFRs are really good, but if your gonna do that id say get a trickflow intake, and a custom grind cam. But your best bet would prolly be that trickflow kit, its the best bang for the buck.

Get rid of your Corba intake, get the Street Heat upper and lower, AFR 165 heads, and get a custom ground cam.
The trick flow hp and tq ratings are on a fresh motor and under a controlled enviroment.

A custom grind cam is one that's not a shelf cam. A company will grind one off the car specs that you give them. I would just call Comp, Crane, or Lunati and ask what they would put in it. In my opinion I would keep the Cobra intake buy some AFR 165s and get a cam from one of the above mentioned companies.

I have the same opinion as you 2 kwik, custom cams are more for people in class racing that is looking for every little edge they can get. Besides when you get a custom cam for something like this, it will be very close to something that is already on the shelf anyway. Save that extra cash and spend it somewhere else.
