What would it take to install the gears myself? Is it possible or...?

yeeeeeeeea... After checking out that website I think i will let the pros do it. I dont want to just take it to some old mechanic shop though. I live in San Diego. Anybody know any good places around the area?

8.8 gear install I'm going to attempt a total rebuild when I install my gears.From what I hear don't attempt it if you can't afford for your car to be down a couple days.Take your time and use the right tools and it's possible.
