Default Clutch Problem ??

When I press down on my clutch, when it gets to the end (near the floor) it makes a "cracking" noise, I feel it in the pedal also. But it doesn't do it all the time. I almost sounds like a spring poping, but nastier sounding !! Does anybody have any idea what this could be??

Thanks,
Jo

Do you still have the cheap factory plastic qaudrant in it? those crack and break, could be a number of things bushings worn or dry. cracking cable. only way to find out is to crawl under the dash and see whats going on. is the sound coming from pedal area? cause the clutch end of the the cable goes in to the bell housing right under the radio, and if something is going on there the sound would probably sound like its in the same under the dash area

Good questions I'm not sure, next time it does it I'll get down under there and push down the clutch with my hands and see if I can pin point the area it's comming from. I just hope I don't have to take a part my clutch cuz I really don't want to take those Long Tubes off!!!! I'll let you know ! [sm=smiley20.gif]
