Default Headers and midpipe

i was wondering the different effect a 3" collector off or Mac long tube headers verse a 2.5" collector... i will be using a prochamber with either 3" or 2.5" depending on which headers i get... what are the pros and cons?? i kno ppl say big is better... but thats not always tru... i what factual information before i spend more money on a 3" collection if i dont need it or if its not worth it...

3" may be too big, might not be enough back pressure. For pretty much stock, i'd go with 2.5", and no bigger isnt always better.

I know on fox body stangs the stock exhaust is 2.25. I went with 2.50 and I am very happy with it. Unless you have turbo/s or S/C I wouldn't suggest 3".

well in the long run... several years im only 19... it will be a bug cubie inch with a shot of nitrous... so should i get 3" not... will it hurt profermance if i get 3 inch collector... also should i get 1 5/8 inch or 1 3/4 inch long tube headers... cuz if i dont need the 1 3/4 then i dont even have to make the choices of a 3" or a 2.5" collector
