Hey fellas, Im new to this forum but have been checkin it out and trying to keep up on everything. I have a question or two. I have a 95gt that is going to be rebuilt this winter and spring, but im still debating on how or what to do. At first I was gonna go with a dss or chp 306 with tfs h/c/i, but have since went against that. Now Im thinking maybe gettin a r302 block (for strength), machined at a local shop and purchasing the rest of the internals seperatley and having the shop install it. Good Idea or not? I was thinkin of stayin away from the mass production rebuilds, ya know. I would like to get the trick flow, but what would I need to do to go with the stage 2 cam, with a 542 lift? Notch the pistons? Would the machine shop do that or do you buy them already notched...LOL sorry for the dumb q's, but I gotta learn somehow. So any info would be appreciated.... Ohyeah if I go that route, how do I determine what length to get the lifters/ rods ect?????

if you are going to have a shop do the work sit down with them and get a game plan. let them tell you what you need and see if they have a warranty on there engines.but there are a lot of good companies out there with crate engines.
