I had posted this back a ways on the 29th of july in the sixer group, but jthorn9 suggested me asking you guys here.

My tranny just shelled itself today around 330 pm maybe a bit later on the highway coming home from work. My car dies when its in nuetral and let off the clutch and it's harder then crap to get into gear no matter what now. So i waited for a bout 1 hour tell somebody finally decided to stop and help pull my car into a parking lot. The site under the car wasnt pretty. Fluid was from the tranny case all the way to the differentail housing. Then waited a bit longer for my parents to come and pick me up lol. We had the triple A guy come out and put it on a flat bed then take it to my house

Yes I have a lead foot too as if ya couldnt tell lol.

My best guess would be that you tore out your main drive and cluster and busted the case. When you shell the teeth off the main drive and cluster there are pieces of teeth floating around in there and get hung in between some good gears and somethings gotta give so the case lets go. I don't think you've got anything to work with. Pull it out and check, but I would sa you need to start looking for a new one.

Im already getting a tranny just need to money up for it now. but Im just confused on why the tranny did that when I was in 5th gear at 70 mph and i was only 6 miles from home. I hadnt put it down a gear since I got on the highway when I left topeka and that was 20 miles away.

yh i did something, when i get the other tranny and pull this one out, i'll have to check out what happened and get a pic for another thing that I have destroyed lol.
