Default head work

how hard is it to put on an aftermarket set of heads and what is notching ur pistons mean i have an 86 and have to do this or it wont work

I would get somebody who knows what they're doing to do it, as no offence intended, you don't sound like you do, and you could REALLY screw something up easily by notching the pistons. Notching them basically is what it's called... you notch them... cut a little divet in them so they have a valve relief

i could pull the heads off my self but i dont kno what notchin is so i will get someone who knos what they are doing to do that

You dont have to notch your pistons with all heads... only some. Like AFR 185's, etc. and other larger heads.

Yah that'd work. Basically it's cutting a slot in the top of the pistons so when they're at TDC and the valves are open, the pistons won't hit them. Just you have to be careful when notching as you can't have a sharp edge as it will create a hotspot on the piston and burn it out, as well as you have to get the notches in just the right place

b/c i m gtting the afr 165cc heads and i wont have too much more to spend and i was also wondering if i can keep them fuel injected or do i have to switch to carb cause i dont want to

To do what? notch the pistons? I wouldn't suggest doing it yourself, but you can make friends with Google.ca

Yah, they can stay injected, they're made for the injected cars afterall, but I would suggest carb... you're going to have LOTS of computer problems with the old 86 SD system
