Mini-starter
 

I installed a mini starter and wired it according to the FordMoCo wiring kit instructions and when I turn the key to the Run possition the starter runs. It continues to run if I turn the key to the start possition. ANy ideas? The motor is a 1993 5.oHO.

switch the new wire you ran to the other side of hte colenoid. i did the same exact mistake. haha the wya you can find out is.. if you take off the wire you ran from teh solenoid and touch it to the same post you had it on and it clicks, you put it on teh wrong side. and now try the other side.. it shouldnt click.

My car sometimes does that too and Ive got a stock starter. If I rev the car the starter stops.

So do you have both wires that go to the stater on the same side of thesolenoid ? That would give 12v power on the one side and two stater wires on the other.

What does the kit consist of? I have a 1954 Ford ,the engine is a 1987 5.0 & AOD I have to rewire the entire vehicle, I already have the mini starter from a 91 mustang. Any way you could send me a copy of the instructions from the kit. Thanks!!
