tko or t56?
i have a 88 mustang gt with a 347 with a pretty good setup i figure 400+hp but anyways im running 3:73 gears and in the market for a new tranny since i killed 3 stock t5's already. my current tranny gets stuck in 3rd gear and will not come out without alot of force. will i benefit from a 6 speed t56 would i be able to run higher gears and still be able to go on highway long distances 100 miles or so? or should i get a tremmic tko? thanks for your input in advance

MMR750 is a TKo500 variant modified to handle 750 hp....
and its $1700 less than a t-56 conversion

RE: tko or t56?
T-56 overdrive ratio is same as TKO600, the extra gear in the 6 speed is between your overdrive and 4th.
imagine a T-5 with a gear between 4th and 5th and thats what a T-56 does for you.
T-56 will have smoother operation and shifting, but TKO is cheaper and actaully little stronger.
www.ddperformance.com sells complete T-56 swap kits and TKO's are pretty easy to install
just need bellhousing, yoke and $100 HP Motorsports x-member.

if you get a t-56 get the viper spec, yes it's worth it from the people i know that have them, well into the 8's with them and never a problem, and 6th is a nice .50 only realy good for like 100 mph+ tho unles you have like 4.56 or some sh*t like that
