cats or no cats???
alright, well i was set on the idea of running no cats. but then talkin to some car guys in class, and some new ones i met today at a friends house, im hearin, A. in md its a 500$ fine a PIECE, so thats 2000!!!
and B that w. no cats itll sound really raspy and sound "shyty and cheap"
is this so?
plans were catless h pipe, and slp1s, or should i go w. highflow cats?
i was sure of what i wanted to do, but after hearing this today, im unsure...

RE: cats or no cats???
i am in maryland but am not aware of the fine, my h-pipe had a crack in it and i cut most of it but before repairing it i ran it and only have the hpipe and cats. Catless it was very raspy sounding and there was no tone or anything to it just loud. Cats make it sound better more of a structured toned sound

RE: cats or no cats???
I've heard from a guy who owns a shop around here that there is no such things as "high flow" or "performance" cats, he said they can get away with callin them that if they are aftermarket.
But i was plannin on runnin no cats, so the sound really is different ?
