When you say you put a solid balancer on what do you mean? Solid like new? Solid like cool? Solid like there is no rubber compound inbetween the outer ring and inner ring?

Is the new balancer the same weight as stock? Is your flywheel the same weight as stock?

Solid as in, no rubber and its new. It's the same weight as stock, and so is the flywheel. The balancer does not wobble at all when spinning. I made sure that everything was tight.

have you tried to make sure you have the right flywheel, cause if you had a new balance put on and it wasnt the same weight as the flywheel then that will cause a vibration. i had a vibration in my car when i switched motors and it turned out to be the flywheel. pre 1981 blocks require a different flywheel cant remember if its 28oz or 50oz. give that a shot

yeah, when I ordered it, I asked at least 5 different places to be sure, and researched so that I got the right weight. My mechanic told me to make sure 100% before ordering. It vibrated before I did the clutch and flywheel though, so I pretty much ruled that out. I did check though.

I donno if a tune will help out vibration at all, but a tune will give you alot extra. How does it run without a tune ?

Somethings way outta whack. Your balancer mightve been misboxed. As in a 50oz mightve been boxed in the 28oz. I work in the parts business, misboxing happens, not a lot but it does happen. Id say try putting on your FACTORY balancer and see if it changes. Maybe you need a fluiddamper.

I just had all that changed too. I've been searching for hours on here and think I came to a few conclusions. 1) The PP balancer has more than a few people say that it's crap and can be defective out of the box, which could be the case. The only weird thing is that it does not wobble at all. 2) My ES motor mounts are definately causing some of the vibes, but I also see a lot of people with solid mounts that say its not all that bad. My vibes are BAD. 3) I could have damaged the crank bearing or something else internal due to a previous bad balancer.

So, I guess the cheapest route would be to go get a stock balancer and see if it does anything. If not, I return it and pray it's my mounts. I already have stock mounts, so I'll put them on. If the vibes are still there, I guess I'm f##ked and have to look for a new bottom end.
