air fuel is worthless without a wideband, you hook it up to one of your o2's

EGT gauge is an Exhaust Gas Temp gauge.

you can manually adjust air fuel ratios by watch EGT temps.

In prop. airplanes we have to manually control mixture as you go up and down
in altitude, you monitor how rich or lean it is by monitoring EGT temps.

It's pointless in an EFI system except for turbo diesel appilications, which use it
for the same purpose. EFI systems use O2 sensors to read un-burnt O2 levels to read
if the mixture is too lean or rich.

No. It splices into your O2 sensor wiring. I have one and it was a waste of money. Since our cars are computer controlled, the af ratio is adjusted every feq millisconds, so the gauge just jumps all over the damn place. A wideband setup would be wonderful, but the standard af gauge isn't worth the money/hassle. $.02.
