Default throttle body

With the mods I have in my signature, what throttle body do you guys think would be good for me? The stock is 58mm and my cobra intake opening is 70mm, to add to this I'm 99% sure that the volume of the cobra plenum and lower intake is much larger than that of the stock intakes, and that larger volume is being feed by a 58mm throttle body, meaning the cobras I have are receiving as much air as the stock intakes and it is being dispersed over a larger volume making the overall air in each runner less according to the air flow: runner volume ratio. So the throttle body is there by restricting the flow and this is why my low end power is absolute crap until above 3,000 to 3,500 rpm when the air velocities in the intake are greater... right? Or at least part of the problem?... sorry if that’s confusing.

I have an O/R x pipe and a spec stage one clutch to put at the same time, what do you guys think about these mods? Should there be anything else I need/should consider getting at the same time.

Thanks a lot for your help guys,

Garrison

Yes, id go with a 70 or 75mm TB, and possibly upgrade your MAF to a larger one too, your chokin that engine with that 58mm.

Ya 70 was what I was thinking, I did want the throttle body to be bigger than the intake opening right... would it be useless unless the intake was ported out..?
What about the clutch and O/R X... good choices? anything else I should get to complement other mods while my car will be shortly down?

Alright sweet..
Last question I promise:
Is the MAf necessary when I’m still running 19lb injectors? I know there good until 300hp so I didn’t plan on changing them yet..
Or is the actually diameter of the Maf what your talking about upgrading?

i had a HCI swap.70mm tb,BBK CAI, full exhaust, gears

then i later got fuel pump, injectors, regulator, and an upgraded MAF

you could go without it and still have large gains

He was deifintely talking about the diameter of the meter, BUT if your going to spend the money on a new meter and you were planning on upgrading your injector's at a later date you might as well do it now, OR just get a C&L meter and get the sampling tube for 19# injector's and later when you upgrade all you need to buy is the new sampling tube for the 24#
