Waterpump ?

Waterpump ?
Does it matter which way the waterpump spins in a 1990 5.0? I have a problem with the belt scrubbing with the way it is ran now. If I could reverse the belt direction it would help move the belt so it wouldn't rub.

Good enough for me. I was hopeing that I could re route the belt to get some clearance. I guess I'll just install my smog pump delete bracket and get a longer belt. Thanks for the help.

As you can see in the picture below, The belt tensioner put so much tension on the belt that it scrubs. I bought a 710 inch belt and had to pry it on in order for it to work. That kept it from scrubbing for about a week and then stretched the belt and now you can just barely put the head of a screwdriver between it. I did buy a smog pump delete pully for it. I just hate to have to use it if I don't have to.
