Anyone have pics of a hatchback with a shorty antenna? Anyone use one??? anything bad to say about these?

Make your own with the stock one, thats what i did, its a freebie mod and takes a few minutes:

1) Mark the antenna where you like to shorten it... I made mine even to the roof line.
2) Remove the antenna by unthreading it from the mount.
3) Take a claw hammer and wrap the claw in electrical tape to protect the antenna from metal to metal contact.
4) The lil ball on the top of the antenna is glued on, so put the antenna in a vice between two pieces of woood and slide the claw hammer down onto the ball and it shoudl pop right off, keep an eye for it cause these lil buggers go flying.
5) Cut the antenna to length with a hack saw.
6) Grind or file the tip of the antenna to the diameter of the inside of the ball.
7) Glue the ball back onto the antenna using loctite or similar metal to metal glue be sure to get the ball straight!
8) let it dry really good then paint it all black or what ever color you want
9) Rethread and enjoy. Looks really good.

I bought a shorty antenna from 50resto and wasn't impressed, I've gotten a lot of compliments of the shorter stock antenna, and it didn't affect stereo reception.
