Default Upper/Lower intake / injectors

I am looking to put in my upper and lower cobra intake manifold and my 1.7 roller rockers. i plan on buying other items also and doin them all the same day. i am looking a BBK 75mm TB, BBK fuel pressue regualtor (mine has 148k), BBK chrome extended strut tower brace, Summit MAF in chrome, and chrome valve covers. I am lookin at a little over $1000 but performance would be good and clean up my enigne bay.

My question is what should i do 24lbs injects and 24 MAF, or 30 lbs inject and 30 MAF? I am thinkin more towards 30lbs so if i do heads i wont have to get the 30's anyway, but how much fuel difference will there be???

So your runnin a SC with 19#ers ? I'd go with 30 #ers for a SC, and your not gonna get too much fuel if you need it, have you upgraded your fuel pump too ? If not you should also do that.

your stock 19's will be fine for what your doing, what until you get heads to upgrade injectors.

^^^^He has a 6Lb Powerdyne listed in his sig.

The 19's are barely adequate for that.

I thought ford disco'd the 30's, so that all we have now is either 24's or 36's?

If you are keeping the boost, 30-36 should work.

I don't have personal experience, but I have been hearing mixed reviews on the Sumitt MAF. Some folks have had issues.

ProM/Pmas or SCT seem to be the 2 best options, but they are pricey.

C&L seems to rank just after these 2.

Then I would put the Summit MAF in last (mostly because of the lack of history)

Have you considered a custom tune?
Your computer may start to freak out with all these mods, or it could be ok.

hmm thanks for the info on the Summit MAF.....i was thinking about doing the 30's just because i should get larger injectors.... Plus i have a 95 so the comp sucks in tha so my car already freaks out..down the road try add the addition comp so it runs like 87-93....

LOL
I'm not surprised your having problems already. [&:]

Not sure I understand...
Are you planning on swapping your computer for a 87-93 computer?
If so, I would have to recommend against it, due to the extent of changes that need to be made. It can get expensive pretty quick.

To the point that it would be feasible to just purchase a tuner (tweecer, pms, etc).

If you are willing to get a custom tune (either from a shop or doing it yourself), you will have more MAF options. And much better MAF options.
The lightning 80mm and 90mm MAF's are probably the best option for our cars, but they do require a chip or custom tune.

Just some more options for you to ponder on.

I'd deff. get a dyno tune, i hear theres a night and day difference between untuned and tuned, you'llprolly get a sht load of more power too. Its worth it.

I have a typhoon upper/lower with 24# injectors, a 70mm edelbrock tb, and a 75 mm Pro M MAF. Are you interested?
