Well, I can stick my finger through my distributor input and out this hole, it's all hollow in there anyway. It's not in the cylinder chamber, and theres nothing that can get in there anyways. I really don't think it's suppose to be there. It looks like somehing may have fell on it. Does anyone here think It would hurt if I welded it up?

I originally thought it was an oil passage, but I'm not positive what it's for. All 302's have that. Just leave it alone, I'd hate to weld it up and it turns out it's a crucial part of the oiling system.

I agree... if alot of people are saying that they have the same than I would just leave it. I had a block from a 91 that I looked at everyday for like a 1 1/2 years though and I cant seen to remember ever having that hole though..... Never seen that one... [&:]

I agree... if alot of people are saying that they have the same than I would just leave it. I had a block from a 91 that I looked at everyday for like a 1 1/2 years though and I cant seen to remember ever having that hole though..... Never seen that one... [&:]

edit: Nm Sidewayz I think you confirmed it. Oil Passage for the intake valley

I remembered seeing that on the first one I had apart. For some reason I thought I was crazy for a minute there, so I just went out in the warehouse and looked at an old block I had lying around. It has it too.
