Default Fuel rail advice

Ok, I took the plunge and am going to attempt the mass air conversion
myself. Disconnected the battery, throttle and a few other things and pulled the
Cobra Intake off. No big surprises, one of the @3/4 inch rubber tubes under the
intake was pretty ripped, have to track a replacement down.
Someone gave me a set of billet aftermarket fuel rails, pretty nice, never used.
However they are like, a ton larger than stock. Be really nice to pop the new 24lb
injectors in them and use them but I'm not sure how to add them in, havent
messed with 5.0 fuel injection before. How do you guys usually handle
fitting larger rails? Seems a few adapters, hoses to match the larger rails
would be needed. Shoot some advice my way please I'm kinda anxious
to try out the Mustang again and see if my lousy idle is cured and how
she runs now with the right amount of fuel/air at the right time(what a
novel concept!} Sorry to write another mini-novel and thanks in advance!

I bet your lousy idle was cause that hose was ripped. Also ran poorly too right? Any kind of small air leak on these makes the computer run out of wack. I'm having that problem right now also, but am growing tired of looking for the gremlin and probably going to pay someone to kill it for me.

Trickflow rail kit I just installed came with everything to plumb it
up and hook into factory quick disconnects.
Even came with high-end FPR.

Basically just the Aeromotive fuel rail kit w/ aeromotive FPR., even has their name
all over it.

Nice kit, but had to install intake spacer so they would fit under upper intake.

I checked out some kits, the trick flow kit was like 600 bucks. A bit to rich for my blood.
Anyway with the cobra intake off, I removed the speed density harness today,
what a mess! Previous owner was a butcher plain and simple.
Must be 10-15 random wires, hacked into the harness with clamp style
fittings, not even taped. Got it all out and installed a clean mass air harness
complete. What a bitch off a job it was to just get the computer connection
through the firewall and pass it through. I'm using an A9P and a 1989 mustang mass air
harness. I bought some of the fittings to my fuel rails and ordered the ones
they didn't have in stock along with a FPR(not sure where I should mount this)
and an inline FP guage. So far it is going well although the new harness
has a plug the old one didn't(no not the mass air plug) on the drivers sideclose to
the firewall, have to try to track that one down it looks like it might be
important.
I've seen a lot of posts on here guessing hp and such.
My car is a 1988 GT and it has these modifications:
gt40 heads, ported
e303 cam
shorty headers, h pipe full duals in 3 inch
msd 6al
cobra upper and lower intakes
c&l 76mm intake pipe
c&l mass air for 24 lb injectors
ford racing 24lb injectors
aftermarket fuel pump, not sure of brand but a 255lph pump

What do you think, properly tuned maybe 300 hp?

Yeah but I already have the rails, might as well use them, didn't like the
look of the stock rails/injectors I saw evidence of leaking,
not a lot, but any makes me worry!

Fire = bad thing, anyone here use paste to seal the fuel rails or just tape?
