i want to do a tranny swap i can use the 5 speed out of a car i have now or get the one out of a gt, which i was woundering if the 5speed from the gt would bolt up to my 97 stang with the 3.8. i have a auto right now

not sure how simply itll bolt up, but youll need a new bell housing thats for sure. and dont take this the wrong way, but do you realize all the work involved in switching from auto to manual? its not just as simple as swaping trans and callin it a day.... either way, good luck, and as for your question, i dont know, but dont think so, i think the fox body t5s have diff lenght input, or out put shafts the then sn95s did...
