Default Carbon Fiber Traction-Loc???

I am going to Rebuild my Dif next weekend and install 373s. I found carbon fiber friction disks under FMS part # M-4700-C for $109.95 and add extra disks/plates. Has anyone tried these before?? I know that they have to be alot stonger and last longer. I have been looking at Moser, Eaton and Detroit. Decided to play around with the stock one and see what happens.

I wouldn't even waste time with a stock rear end unit. You get what you pay for. Go big or go home, ya know? Look at it this way, what downside is there from buying the strongest part first? Time? No cause when you break that trac-lok or wear it out you're going to have the down time of getting that fixed again. Money? No cause when you break it you're going to have to pay for installation costs twice. My tranny/rearend guy (whos also a family friend) says they're complete garbage and to stay away from them. Hope I helped a little bit for ya.

With all that said I'd like to say I have a detroit true-trac and LOVE it.

Eaton makes a carbon fiber disc differential, supposed to be real nice, if you're upgrading your differential, upgrade to 31 spline, doing otherwise would be a complete waste of time.

Sorry I didn't get back to this sooner. Had a busy weekend working another job just for the Mustang. Saving the pennies for a 347 from T&L and G-Force Kit for for Trannie.

Soooo it sounds like from the brief input that I should go with 31 spline dif and axles with the carbon fiber instead of building the old 28 spline. Cann't argue with that. Do it right the first time!!!!!!!! Thanks for the info.

Anybody else have experience with this???? Thanks MAC
