ok, this happened to one of my friends. This is before we had the proper tools to take it out, but try this if you get desperate. fill the hole up with bearing grease, or some other thick grease. Find a socket that will fit into the outer race. Try and get the biggest socket to fit in there as you can. Flip the socket around and put an extension in the socket backwards and tap it into the hole after you fill it up with grease. This should push the race out. I hope you get the idea here, its kinda hard to explain, and should probably only be used for a last resort. Can you tell we were poor growing up?!?! LOL

actually, the grease trick works, i did that when i put my new clutch in a few weeks ago.

ofcourse, it works better when you have 1 bearing in there... not 50 pieces

its not the bearing im talking about, that came out.

the race, this THICK PIECE of steel that took me hours of painful hand hamering with a cutting chisel I used a 20 lb body slide hammer and heavy duty puller, WITH BOTH ARMS and pounded outwards for an hour with nothin.

After that, I knew this Pilot Bearing and race had declared all out war, and I dont see how anyone found that easy to remove whatsover.

It didnt even budge cherry red, and now i gotta check my rear main, to make sure i didnt melt her, before the tranny goes in. to make matters worse, the trans dipstick was pulled to move the trans and gave me a synthetic shower all over my face at $4.96 a quart[:'(]
I had my buddy tom come over and he weighs 305lbs and tried at it, and he swore that dam thing was extremely siezed up in there.
this is one for the records, and I dont reccomend anyone try this at home.

and who is tht gothic lady in your sig ? they are some of the nicest of people, it aint even funny

Next time tap fine threads into the race and thread a bolt into it and it will bottom out and push the race out.
