Default Exhaust fumes in the car

Hello,
New to the forum, new Mustang owner. I bought a Mustang yesterday and knew that it had been modified but don't know what has been done. There had been a Powerdyne charger on it (removed). Exhaust has no cats and is aftermarket. I think smog pump is still on it. Has gauges. Does run strong. Problem--windows down, bad fumes in the car. Exhaust does not appear to leak. Seems to be just flowing right from the rear and sucked through the interior. Enough to cause me to get dizzy. Also has stong smell just at idle. More than 2 seconds in the open garage gets strong. Any direction appreciated. Should I be trying to find out if it has been chipped (where to look), injectors?, try to find an original exhaust system?
Thanks

If you smell it in your car while driving most likely it is leaking at the connection point where your headers meet your h/x pipe.

Also you could be running really rich.

If it is running too rich. How do I tell or correct this. I don't know alot about fuel injection. Do I check the timing or would the probable aftermarket injectors be the problem and I need to go to a stock injector?

see what color your fuel injectors are. it is possible that you have big injectors that were once needed for the supercharger, but no longer a necessity since it has been removed.

stock 19lb injectors are orange top...

If you have a GT model with the lower rear bumper, and you have dumps(no tail pipes) then your problem could be that all your exhaust is not getting out from under the car and its comming back in through your interior somehow. You could also have a leak, or be running rich. check all the advice that you have gotten so far and get back to us.
