The torque loss really isnt that bad.... if you have gears that you wont really feel it because the gears will definetly compensate for the extra loss.

^ yea... i'd be interested in putting two stock 5.0's side by side and having a "race" w/ one putting LT's and one Shorty Equals and see which takes longer... just for ****s and giggles! I'd bet an Abe lincoln on the shorties....

Ok. Thanks everyone. Yeah this winter me and my buddy plan on doing a hci swap so you think i should just wait on it and do it all at once? Ok thanks. Also since im typing what everyone suggestions on the HCI swap. Parts, brands, any adivce. Thanks

ya well i meant eguals rnt worth all the hassle for the time it takes to install them, either the easier shorties, or if ur gunna do a hard install do somthing thats worth it, aka long tubes

i'm probably going to go with JBAs when i do it, i've heard a lot of people complain about the BBKs. but JBAs are really expensive.

i have equal shorties by bbk ,nickel plated, no probs. look as good as the day i installed them

there was another thread where people were saying they had a lot of trouble with BBKs, but mostly due to the crappy bolts and gaskets.

just think ahead and get headers that are compatible with your heads or vice versa just as you would with the intake and heads
